In my woodcarving projects I utilize certain necessary and useful woodworking tools for tasks other than the actual carving of the bird-at-hand. Most prominent is my Band-Saw and Drill-Press. I have recently been “gifted” a Wood-Lathe by one of my carving-buddies, Jim Callahan. My knowlege of this power-tool is basically “nada”! I plan to use it in the construction of wooden bases for my carvings to sit on.
