*My Current Class is in Progress

I am two-weeks "in" on a private lessons class carving the Cedar Wax-wing songbird. This is the second time that I've taught this class. I came across this excellent reference photo today.

*A “church” Men’s Business Meeting

The men of this congregation were trying to be innovative, creative and reasonable in discussing several ideas to improve  various things in the church services, facilities, etc.

Every time someone would stand up and make a suggestion, a certain older member of the flock would stand to say “I’ve been a member here for forty years and have given a-lot of money to the church here. I don’t like this idea at all!”  This was repeated  on each of the following proposals from several different men.

Finally, a fairly young newcomer to the congregation stood and addressed his remarks to the older, dissident gentleman. He said to him; “why don’t you go home and find out exactly how much money it is that you have donated to this church; we want to buy you out” !

*Summer Class and Carve-Ins

Greetings Bird-Carvers:

Well, Our Spring Class launched quite well yesterday on the Cedar Wax-wing. Due to my restricted efforts to announce this class, it has turned-into a “private” lesson, opposed to a “group” lesson, I enjoyed seeing much more progress accomplished yesterday than is normal in our 3-hr. session.

Registrations are now open for the 6-possible openings for the Summer Class which begins July 21st. As previously announced, we will do the Little Green Heron; my first “Water Bird”. You can pay at your convenience. I’ll get an e-mail out to a limited number very soon as is usual.

Carve-Ins are open starting this Wednesday from 2-5p.m. And will continue (as scheduled on my web-site calendar) until October 31st., or until the weather gets too chilly to keep the door open.

It was fun to carve again after my nearly 6 month Hiatus.

Happy birding and carving, Bill Hamon
